मुंबईत अनेकांना गंडा; फसवणूक टाळण्यासाठी काय कराल ?

सायबर चोरांनी सर्वसामान्य नागरिकांच्या नाकीनऊ आणल्याने बँक खाती सुरक्षित ठेवण्यासाठी नागरिकांनी खबरदारी घेण्याची नितांत गरज निर्माण झाली आहे.

सायबर गुन्हेगारी सध्या मुंबईत पहिल्या क्रमांकावर असून सायबर चोरांनी सर्वसामान्यांच्या नाकीनऊ आणले आहेत. सायबर चोरांची ‘टास्क’ गुन्हेपद्धती गुंतवणुकीवर चांगला परतावा देण्याचे प्रलोभन देऊन बँक खाती रिकामी करीत आहे. पंधरा दिवसांत दहिसर, शिवाजीनगर, मुलुंड, अंधेरी, नवघर, घाटकोपर, सांताक्रूझ, बीकेसी, पंतनगर, वांद्रे यासह मुंबईच्या वेगवेगळ्या भागात दोन डझनहून अधिक गुन्हे दाखल झाले आहेत. बँक खाती सुरक्षित ठेवण्यासाठी नागरिकांनी खबरदारी घेण्याची नितांत गरज आहे.

घाटकोपर येथील २४ वर्षीय देबायन हा तरुण बीकेसी येथील खासगी कंपनीत नोकरीला आहे. त्याला एका अनोळखी व्यक्तीचा फोन आला आणि त्याने पार्ट टाइम नोकरीबाबत माहिती दिली. फावल्या वेळेमध्ये दिले जाणारे सोपे टास्क पूर्ण केल्यास हजारो रुपये कमावता येतील, असे या व्यक्तीने सांगितले. त्यानुसार देबायन हा त्या व्यक्तीने दिलेल्या टेलिग्राम ग्रुपमध्ये सहभागी झाला. या ठिकाणी त्याने स्वतःचा आणि बँक खात्याचा तपशील दिला. त्यानंतर देबायन याला काही टास्क देण्यात आले आणि ते टास्क पूर्ण केल्यानंतर त्याच्या खात्यामध्ये काही रक्कम जमा झाली. त्याचा विश्वास बसल्यानंतर त्याला पेड टास्क म्हणजे पैसे भरून खेळायच्या टास्कमध्ये सहभागी होण्यास सांगण्यात आले. अधिक परतावा मिळेल या आशेने तो पेड टास्कमध्ये सहभागी झाला. थोडे थोडे करून त्याने तब्बल ९ लाख ८५ हजार रुपये गुंतविले. त्यावरील परतावा वॉलेटमध्ये दिसत होता मात्र, पैसे काढायला गेल्यावर ते येत नसल्याचे पाहून फसल्याचे देबायन याच्या लक्षात आले.

इन्स्टाग्रामवरील पोस्टला लाइक आणि शेअर करण्याचे काम दहिसर येथील तरुणीला देण्यात आले. लाइक आणि शेअरचे टास्क पूर्ण करून प्रत्येक लाइकचे स्क्रीनशॉट देण्यास सांगण्यात आले. प्रत्येक स्क्रीनशॉटमागे ५० रुपये या तरुणीला देण्यात आले. पैसे मिळत असल्याने तिचा काम देणाऱ्या कंपनीवर विश्वास बसला. तिलाही पेड टास्कचे आमिष दाखविण्यात आले. गुंतवणूक केल्यास आणखी चांगले पैसे मिळतील यासाठी वेगवेगळ्या टास्कसाठी तिने टप्याटप्याने सात लाख ३० हजार रुपये गुंतविले. त्याचा परतावा तिच्या वॉलेटमध्ये जमा होत गेला, पण संशय आल्याने तिने पैसे काढण्याचा प्रयत्न केला असता तो अयशस्वी ठरला.
