महाराष्ट्र राज्याचे नवनिर्वाचित मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे यांनी मुख्यमंत्री पदाची शपथ घेतल्यानंतर महाराष्ट्र राज्याचे माजी उपमुख्यमंत्री माढा लोकसभेचे माजी खासदार विकासरत्न विजयसिंह मोहिते पाटील यांनी अभिनंदन व सन्मान करून भावी कारकीर्दीस शुभेच्छा दिल्या. यावेळी सोलापूर जिल्हा परिषदेचे माजी उपाध्यक्ष शहाजीराव तथा बाबाराजे देशमुख, अकलूजचे माजी सरपंच शिवतेजसिंह मोहिते पाटील यांच्यासह अनेक मान्यवर उपस्थित होते.
महाविकास आघाडी सरकार असताना नगर विकास खात्याचे मंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे होते. त्यावेळेस अकलूज नगर परिषद करण्यासाठी अनेकवेळा मुंबई येथे विजयसिंह मोहिते पाटील व आमदार रणजीतसिंह मोहिते पाटील यांच्या समवेत शिवतेजसिंह मोहिते पाटील यांच्याशी अनेकवेळा भेटीगाठी व बैठकांमधून थेट संबंध आलेला होता. एकनाथ शिंदे यांनी अकलूज नगर परिषदेला मान्यता दिलेली होती. त्यांनी अकलूज नगर परिषदेविषयी शिवतेजसिंह मोहिते पाटील यांच्याकडून माहिती जाणून घेतली. भविष्यात सहकार्य करण्याची भावना बोलून दाखवली आहे.
