माळशिरस तालुक्यातील माळीनगर, धर्मपुरी, कारूंडे, वाफेगाव, कोंढारपट्टा, दहिगाव, देशमुखवाडी, लवंग, कण्हेर, सवतगव्हाण या ग्रामपंचायतीच्या मुदती संपलेल्या असून पंचवार्षिक निवडणुकीसाठी तहसील कार्यालय सज्ज झालेले आहे. निवडणूक आयोगाकडून निवडणुका जाहीर होणे बाकी आहे. निवडणुका आक्टोबर किंवा नोव्हेंबर मध्ये जाहीर होण्याची शक्यता वर्तवली जात आहे. 14 नोव्हेंबर रोजी सणांचा राजा दिवाळी हा सण येत आहे. निवडणुका ऑक्टोबर, नोव्हेंबर मध्ये निवडणूक आयोगाने जाहीर केल्यानंतर दहा ग्रामपंचायतींमध्ये मतदारांची दोनदा दिवाळी साजरी होणार आहे. थेट जनतेतील सरपंच पदामुळे निवडणुकीत रस्सीखेच, रंगत व चुरस वाढणार आहे.
माळीनगर, धर्मपुरी, कारूंडे, वाफेगाव, कोंढरपट्टा, दहिगाव, देशमुखवाडी, लवंग, कण्हेर, सवतगव्हाण या दहा गावांचे सरपंच पदाचे व वार्डनिहाय आरक्षणाचा कार्यक्रम तहसीलदार सुरेश शेजुळ, निवासी नायब तहसीलदार अमोल कदम, महसूल नायब तहसीलदार सायली जाधव यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली निवडणूक अव्वल कारकून भाकरे यांनी सर्व निवडणुकीचे नियोजन तयार करून ठेवलेले आहे.
