माळशिरस तालुक्यातील यशवंतनगर शेजारील चौंडेश्वरवाडी हद्दीतील उदयनगर येथील सलीम मोहिद्दीन सय्यद यांचा मृतदेह उदयनगर विजयवाडी रोडच्या कॅनलच्या लहान पुलाच्या भिंतीला मृत अवस्थेत लटकलेला असल्याने सलीम सय्यद यांची आत्महत्या की हत्या यामुळे कुटुंबामध्ये भीतीचे वातावरण निर्माण झालेले आहे.
सलीम सय्यद बांधकाम मजुरीचा व्यवसाय करीत होते. गरीब परिस्थितीमुळे त्यांना कर्ज झालेले होते. त्यामुळे ते मानसिक ताणतणावात असत. मात्र, दररोज कामावर जात असत. अचानक त्यांचा मृतदेह कॅनॉलच्या पुलावरील भिंतीला लटकलेला आहे.
सदरच्या ठिकाणी त्यांचा मृतदेह कोणीतरी लटकावला असल्याची शक्यता सलीम सय्यद यांच्या परिवाराकडून व्यक्त केली जात आहे. सलीम सय्यद यांच्या मृत्यूचे खरे कारण समोर येण्यासाठी पोलीस प्रशासनाने योग्य तपास व कारवाई करावी, अशी मागणी सय्यद परिवार यांच्याकडून होत आहे.
