गोरडवाडी गावचे माजी सरपंच भिकाजी बाबा गोरड यांचे अल्पशा आजाराने शुक्रवार दि. 02/08/2024 रोजी उपचारा दरम्यान सकाळी दुःखद निधन झालेले आहे. त्यांच्या पश्चात पत्नी, एक मुलगा, तीन मुली, नातवंडे असा परिवार आहे. त्यांच्यावर गोरडवाडी हद्दीतील बिरोबा मंदिर पांढरे देऊळ येथील निवासस्थानाशेजारील शेतामध्ये सायंकाळी पाच वाजता अंतिम संस्कार करण्यात येणार आहेत.
गोरडवाडी गावचे पंधरा वर्षांपासून सरपंच पदाच्या कारकिर्दीमध्ये गावच्या जडणघडणीत सिंहाचा वाटा आहे. त्यांचा शांत व संयमी स्वभाव होता. सर्वांना सोबत मिळून मिसळून काम करणारे विकासात्मक व्यक्तिमत्व होते. त्यांनी अनेक गावांमध्ये विकास कामे केलेली आहेत. त्यांच्या दुःखद निधनाने गोरडवाडी गावामध्ये राजकीय पोकळी निर्माण झालेली आहे.
