माळशिरस तालुक्यातील संग्रामनगर परिसरात विविध झाडांची रोपे लावून माळशिरस तालुका जिजाऊ ब्रिगेडच्या महिलांनी वटपौर्णिमा सण मोठ्या उत्साहात साजरा केला. या अनोख्या उपक्रमाचे सर्वत्र कौतुक होत आहे.

मराठा सेवा संघ प्रणित जिजाऊ ब्रिगेड, अकलूज, सोलापूर, पंढरपूर विभाग यांच्यावतीने वटपौर्णिमेचे औचित्य साधून जिजाऊ ब्रिगेड अकलूज यांनी पारंपारिक पद्धतीने वडाच्या झाडाची पूजा न करता विविध प्रकारची झाडे लावून जिजाऊ ब्रिगेडच्या महिलांनी वटपौर्णिमा सण साजरा केला. सध्या सर्वत्र रस्ता रूंदीकरणामुळे मोठमोठ्या वृक्षांची तोड होत असल्यामुळे पर्यावरणाचा प्रश्न सर्वांना भेडसावत आहे. हे लक्षात घेऊन जिजाऊ ब्रिगेडच्या माळशिरस तालुका अध्यक्षा शिवमती मनोरमा लावंड यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली संग्रामनगर येथे झाडे लावून त्यांची सावली सर्वांना मिळावी, अशी रोपे लावण्यात आली आहेत.
