दरम्यान, रोहित पाटील यांनी तासगाव तालुक्यातील मणेराजुरी येथे शेतकरी मेळाव्यात अजित पवार यांचे जोरदार स्वागत केले. रोहित म्हणाले, “कुठलंही सरकार असले, तरी अजितदादा काम करू शकतात. अजित पवार तुम्ही महाराष्ट्रसाठी दादा असाल पण तासगाव, कवठेमहांकाळ तालुक्यासाठी तुम्ही आबा आहात.
कुणीही आडवे आले, तरी मी आबांचे स्वप्न पूर्ण करणार
यावेळी बोलताना रोहित यांनी आबांच्या आठवणींना उजाळा दिला. ते म्हणाले, “या मतदारसंघातील लोकांचे कौतुक करताना यांचं पाय धुवून पाणी पिलं, तरी यांचे उपकार फिटणार नाहीत. आबांना या लोकांनी खूप साथ दिली आहे. या मातीनं आमच्यावर उपकार केले आहेत ते आम्ही कधी विसरू शकणार नाही. आबांचा मुलगा म्हणून आयुष्याच्या शेवटच्या श्वासापर्यंत हे उपकार विसरणार नाही. ते पुढे म्हणाले की, दादा तुम्ही विरोधी पक्षनेता जरी असला, तरी आजही तुम्ही आमच्यासाठी मुख्यमंत्रीच आहात. कुठलेही सरकार असलं, तरी तुमच्याकडे काम दिलं की ते होतेच. दादा तुम्ही महाराष्ट्रासाठी दादा असाल, पण आमच्या तालुक्यासाठी तुम्ही आबाच आहात”, असेही रोहित पाटील म्हणाले.
यावेळी, रोहित पाटील यांनी खासदार संजयकाका पाटील यांनी नाव न घेता टीका केली. “विमानतळावरून दुटप्पी भूमिका विरोधक का घेतात? अशी विचारणा त्यांनी केली. आम्ही सुद्धा बांगड्या घातलेल्या नाहीत, आबांच्या कुठल्याही कार्यकर्त्याला हात लागला, तर रोहित पाटील यांना हात लागला असे समजावे”, असा इशारा त्यांनी दिला.
