देशाचे पंतप्रधान नरेंद्रजी मोदी यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली केंद्रीय रेल्वेमंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव यांनी येणाऱ्या 2022-23 बजेटमध्ये लोणंद-फलटण-पंढरपूर रेल्वे मार्गाला आवश्यक असणाऱ्या निधीची तरतूद करण्याच्या सूचना दिलेल्या असल्याने माढा लोकसभेचे कार्यतत्पर खासदार रणजीतसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांच्या सततच्या पाठपुराव्याला यश प्राप्त झालेले आहे. इंग्रज काळापासून रखडलेल्या प्रश्नाला कार्यतत्पर खासदार रणजीतसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांनी वाचा फोडलेली असल्याने जनतेकडून व विशेष करून माळशिरस तालुक्यातील जनतेकडून पंतप्रधान नरेंद्रजी मोदी, रेल्वेमंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव व खा. रणजितसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांचे मनःपूर्वक आभार मानून अभिनंदनाचा वर्षाव होत आहे.

लोणंद-फलटण रेल्वे मार्ग पूर्ण झालेला होता. सदर मार्गाच्या डेमो प्रसंगी कार्यतत्पर खा. रणजितसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांनी बारामती झटक्याशी बोलताना सांगितलेले होते की, फलटण-पंढरपूर रेल्वे मार्गाचा प्रश्न सुद्धा लवकरच निकाली काढणार आहे. ‘बोले तैसा चाले, त्याची वंदावी पावले’ या म्हणीचा प्रत्यय माळशिरस तालुक्यातील एक लाखापेक्षा जास्त लीड देणाऱ्या मतदारांना आलेला असल्याने खा. रणजीतसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांना मतदान केलेल्या मतदारांमध्ये समाधान व्यक्त केले जात आहे.

ब्रिटिश काळामध्ये लोणंद-फलटण-पंढरपूर रेल्वे मार्गाचे सर्वेक्षण करण्यात आलेले होते. काही ठिकाणी तर जमिनीही ताब्यात घेतलेल्या आहेत. तशा नोंदी सातबारावर पहावयास मिळत आहेत. मात्र, अनेक कारणामुळे या मार्गाचे काम रखडलेले होते. खा. रणजीतसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांचा पाठपुरावा सततचा सुरू होता. या मार्गाला अद्यापपर्यंत कोणताही मूहुर्त लागला नाही. देशभरातील अनेक रेल्वे प्रकल्प सुरू होऊन पूर्णत्वालाही गेलेले आहेत मात्र, हा मार्ग मागे पडला. केव्हा पूर्ण होईल, अशी सर्वसामान्य जनतेच्या व भारताची दक्षिण काशी समजल्या जाणाऱ्या पंढरपूरच्या विठुरायाच्या भाविकांच्या मनामध्ये कायम शंका होती. खरंच रेल्वे चालू होणार, हे स्वप्न खा. रणजीतसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांच्या प्रयत्नामुळे सत्यात उतरलेले आहे.

लोणंद-फलटण-पंढरपूर हा रेल्वे मार्ग झाल्यानंतर पुणे आणि मुंबईला जाण्यासाठी वेळ वाचणार आहे. सध्या कुर्डूवाडी वरून जाणाऱ्या रेल्वे मार्गावरील वाहतुकीचा ताण कमी होणार आहे. रेल्वे मार्गावरील 337 हेक्टर जमिनीचे संपादन फलटण ते पंढरपूर मार्गाचे अनेक वेळा सर्वे झालेले आहेत. या मार्गावरील 337 हेक्टर जमिनीची संपादन प्रक्रिया पूर्वीच्या काळात झालेली आहे. जरी जमिनी आज शेतकरी कसत असले तरीसुद्धा उताऱ्यावर रेल्वेचे नाव आहे. एकूण 145 किलोमीटर अंतर असलेल्या या रेल्वे मार्गापैकी फलटण ते लोणंद 49 किलोमीटर अंतराचे काम पूर्ण झाले असून आत्ता केवळ 105 किलोमीटर काम पूर्ण होणे बाकी आहे. मार्गावर वाखरी, वेळापूर, माळशिरस, नातेपुते, फलटण व लोणंद अशी स्थानके अपेक्षित आहेत. हा रेल्वे मार्ग पूर्ण झाला तर या भागातील मोठ्या संख्येने असलेले साखर कारखाने तसेच बागायती क्षेत्र द्राक्ष, डाळिंब, केळी उत्पादक शेतकऱ्यांना मोठा फायदा होणार आहे. या रेल्वे मार्गामुळे सोलापूर जिल्ह्याच्या पश्चिम भागाच्या विकासाला मोठा हातभार लागणार आहे.

माढा लोकसभा मतदारसंघ हा राष्ट्रवादीचा बालेकिल्ला होता. खा. रणजीतसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांच्या रूपाने राष्ट्रवादीचा गड उध्वस्त केलेला होता. विशेष करून माळशिरस तालुक्यातील मतदारांनी एक लाखापेक्षा जास्त लीडचे मतदान देऊन खा. रणजीतसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांना पाठबळ दिलेले होते‌. माढा मतदारसंघात खा. रणजीतसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांचे मतदारांनी दिलेल्या आशीर्वादाचे विकासकामातून परतफेड करण्याचे काम सुरू आहे. मतदारसंघातील मतदार खासदार यांच्या कामगिरीवर समाधानी आहेत. आजपर्यंत लोकसभेला दिलेले मतदान वाया गेले मात्र, खा. रणजितसिंह नाईक निंबाळकर यांच्या रूपाने केलेल्या मतदानाचे फलित झाल्याने समाधान व्यक्त केले जात आहे.
