आषाढ महिन्यामध्ये अखंड वैष्णवांचे दैवत असणारे पंढरपूरीचा राजा श्री विठ्ठल रुक्मिणी भेटीसाठी अनेक साधुसंतांच्या पालख्या पंढरपूरकडे पायी चालत मजल दरमजल करीत येत असतात. यामध्ये आळंदी येथील श्री ज्ञानेश्वर महाराज व देहू येथील श्री संत तुकाराम महाराज यांच्या पालखी सोहळ्यामध्ये भाविकांची व वैष्णवांची प्रचंड गर्दी असते. दिवसेंदिवस गर्दी वाढत असल्याने महामार्ग रस्त्याच्या अडचणी, त्यामुळे वाहनांची व भाविकांची रांग लागत असल्याने वाहतुकीचा प्रश्न निर्माण होऊन पालखी महामार्गामध्ये अडचणी येत होत्या. यासाठी श्री संत ज्ञानेश्वर महाराज व श्री संत तुकाराम महाराज यांच्या पालखी महामार्गाचे विस्तारीकरण करण्यात आलेले आहे. दोन्ही पालखी महामार्ग माळशिरस तालुक्यातून जात आहे. यामध्ये श्री संत ज्ञानेश्वर महाराज पालखी महामार्ग धर्मपुरी-कारूंडे-मोरोची-नातेपुते-मांडवे-सदाशिवनगर-पुरंदावडे-माळशिरस-खुडूस-वेळापूर-तोंडले-बोंडले-दसूर असा मार्ग आहे.
तर श्री संत तुकाराम महाराज यांचा अकलूज-माळीनगर-महाळुंग-माळखांबी-तोंडले बोंडले-दसुर असा मार्ग आहे. पूर्वीच्या मार्गामध्ये महामार्गात रूपांतर केलेले असल्याने रस्त्याचे विस्तारीकरण करण्यासाठी रस्त्यालगत असणाऱ्या जमिनी भूसंपादन करण्यात आलेल्या आहेत. भूसंपादन करतेवेळी प्रशासनातील संबंधित भूसंपादन अधिकारी, वन अधिकारी, भूमी अभिलेख अधिकारी, सार्वजनिक बांधकाम अधिकारी, जीवन प्राधिकरण अधिकारी, यांच्या जाणीवपूर्वक चुकीमुळे व आर्थिक हितसंबंधामुळे अनेक लोकांना त्रास झालेला असल्याने महामार्ग शाप असल्याचे बोलले जाते. तर मोकळ्यात आर्थिक फायदा झाल्याने महामार्ग वरदान असल्याचे बोलले जाते.
माळशिरस तालुक्यात अनेक ठिकाणी रस्त्यामध्ये उड्डाणपुलाची निर्मिती केलेली असल्याने अनेक गावातील उद्योग, व्यवसाय व व्यापारी रस्त्यावर आलेले असल्याने महामार्ग त्यांना शाप वाटत आहे. तर काही ठिकाणी उद्योग, व्यवसायासाठी पडीक जमिनी यांना ऊर्जीतावस्था आलेली असल्याने महामार्ग त्यांना वरदान वाटत आहे. महामार्गामध्ये जमिनी भूसंपादन होऊन अनेकजण बेघर व भूमिहीन झालेले आहेत त्यांना महामार्ग शाप वाटत आहे. तर, काही लोकांना रस्त्याच्याकडेच्या जमिनी भूसंपादित झाल्यानंतर रस्त्यालगत स्वतःच्या जमिनी आलेल्या असल्याने महामार्ग वरदान वाटत आहे. नातेपुते माळशिरस गावात महामार्गाचे बाह्यवळण केलेले असल्याने गावातील उद्योग व्यवसाय कमी झालेला असल्याने उद्योग व्यवसायिकांमधून महामार्ग शाप असल्याचे बोलले जाते. बाह्यवळण झालेले असल्याने गावच्या बाजूला असणाऱ्या शेतामधून महामार्ग केलेला असल्याने कुसळ पिकत नसलेल्या शेतात अचानक सोने उगवल्यासारखे जमिनीचे दर झालेले असल्याने महामार्ग त्यांच्यासाठी वरदान ठरलेला आहे. काही ठिकाणी रस्ता वळवण्याची आवश्यकता नसतानासुद्धा रस्ता वळवून काहींना वरदान ठरलेलं आहे. तर विनाकारण रस्ता वळवल्यामुळे काहींना शाप ठरलेला आहे.
पालखी महामार्गावरील जमिनी भूसंपादित करून मोबदला देत असताना अधिकाऱ्यांकडून आर्थिक हितसंबंधांमुळे काहींना अंगाशी तर काहींना जागांशी अशी अवस्था झालेली असल्याने अनेकजण भूसंपादन जमिनी होऊन रस्ता पूर्ण झाला तरीसुद्धा मोबदल्यापासून वंचित असणाऱ्या लोकांना महामार्ग शाप वाटत आहे.
श्री संत ज्ञानेश्वर महाराज व श्री संत तुकाराम महाराज यांच्या पालख्या अनादी कालापासून पायी चालत मुक्काम करत येत असतात. पालखी जाणाऱ्या गावातील लोकांना साधुसंत येती घरा, तोची दिवाळी दसरा, असे वाटत असते. मात्र, अधिकाऱ्यांच्या उदासीनतेमुळे मोबदल्यापासून वंचित राहिलेल्या लोकांना शिमगा करण्याची वेळ अधिकाऱ्यांनी आणलेली आहे.
