राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस पक्षाचे माळशिरस तालुका ओबीसीचे माजी अध्यक्ष सोमनाथ पिसे, राष्ट्रवादीचे सोशल मीडिया प्रमुख विठ्ठल जाधव यांच्यासह असंख्य राष्ट्रवादीच्या कार्यकर्त्यांचा स्वाभिमानी शेतकरी संघटनेत प्रवेश होणार आहे. महाराष्ट्रात शिवसेना, राष्ट्रवादी व काँग्रेस पक्षाचे महाविकास आघाडी सरकार होते. त्यावेळेस माळशिरस तालुक्यातील अनेक प्रलंबित प्रश्नाकडे जाणीवपूर्वक डोळे झाक केलेली होती. माळशिरस तालुक्याच्या पश्चिम भागामध्ये तरुणांच्या हाताला काम व तालुक्याच्या सर्वांगीण विकासासाठी गारवाड येथे होणाऱ्या कॉरिडॉर एमआयडीसीमध्ये राष्ट्रवादीने सरकार असताना लक्ष घालणे गरजेचे होते. व इतर अन्य कारणाने राष्ट्रवादीचे सेल अध्यक्ष यांनी स्वाभिमानीत प्रवेश करण्याचा निर्णय घेतलेला आहे.
शेतकऱ्यांचे खासदार राजू शेट्टी व जिल्हाध्यक्ष तानाजीकाका बागल यांच्यासह अनेक सहकाऱ्यांच्या साथीने माळशिरस तालुक्यामध्ये आंदोलनवीर अजितभैया बोरकर यांनी स्वाभिमानी शेतकरी संघटनेचे काम जोमाने करून सर्वसामान्य जनता व शेतकरी यांना दिलासा दिला आहे. तालुक्यामध्ये राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस पक्ष प्रबळ मानला जातो मात्र राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस पक्षाच्या घड्याळाला घरघर लागलेली असून अनेक कार्यकर्ते पक्ष सोडून जात आहेत. स्वाभिमानी शेतकरी संघटनेची ताकद दिवसेंदिवस वाढत आहे. त्यामुळे भाजपचा खरा विरोधी पक्ष म्हणून भविष्यात शेतकरी संघटना नावारूपाला येईल, अशी राजकीय वर्तुळामध्ये चर्चा सुरू आहे.
