सोलापूर जिल्हा परिषदेचे ग्रामपंचायत विभागाचे उप मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्री. इशाधीन शेळकंदे यांनी आषाढी वारीमध्ये उत्कृष्ट नियोजन करून १४ जून ते २८ जून दरम्यान पुणे ते पंढरपूर दरम्यान ‘हरित वारी निर्मल वारी’ अंतर्गत चालणाऱ्या वारकऱ्यांना अनेक सुविधा उपलब्ध करून देत त्यांची वारी सुखकर केली. सोलापूर जिल्ह्यातील पालखी मार्गावरील सर्व ग्रामपंचायतींमध्ये स्वच्छ पाणी, घनकचरा व्यवस्थापन, वारी पूर्वीची व नंतरची स्वच्छता या बाबीवर श्री. शेळकंदे यांनी विशेष लक्ष देऊन वारीमध्ये कुठेही अडचण येणार नाही याचे नियोजन केले होते.
पालखी मार्गावर स्वच्छता हीच प्रथम सेवा या उक्तीप्रमाणे त्यांनी स्वच्छता ठेवण्यास प्रथम प्राधान्य दिल्यामुळे वारीत असणाऱ्या लोकांचे आजारी पडण्याचे प्रमाण खूप कमी दिसून आले. श्री. इशाधीन शेळकंदे यांच्या कामाची दखल मुख्यमंत्री श्री. एकनाथजी शिंदे यांनी घेऊन त्यांना विशेष सन्मान पत्र देऊन गौरविण्यात आले. मुख्यमंत्री यांच्याकडून सलग दोनदा गौरविण्यात आलेले श्री. शेळकंदे हे एकमेव अधिकारी आहेत.
यावर प्रतिक्रिया देताना श्री. शेळकंदे म्हणाले की, हा माझा सन्मान नसून ज्यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली मी हे काम केले आहे ते माझे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्री. दिलीप स्वामी, पंचायतीचे सर्व विस्तारअधिकारी, ग्रामसेवक व सरपंच यांच्या शिवाय मी हे काम करू शकलो नसतो. हा सन्मान खऱ्या अर्थाने त्यांचा आहे. मी फक्त त्याठिकाणी निमित्त आहे..!
